The fishery continues to perform well and we are experiencing a good hatch of insect life, including hawthorn flies, mayflies and sedges.
Consequently anglers have been able to catch fish on dry fly, with small hoppers and black flies being most effective.
Simon and Elliot Guthrie brought 21 fish to the boat on Friday and Anthony Meadows over 40 on Thursday.
The fly tiers Guild visited on Sunday and enjoyed a good day’s fishing. Heaviest catch at 6lb 14oz for 3 fish and heaviest fish at 2lb 13oz were those of Malcolm Halltman.
