Windy, wet and cool weather have ensured that the water temperature at the fishery has remained relatively cool. Together with a recent stocking this has ensured some great fishing.
Performance of the week was hat of John Scott who caught and returned 32 trout on Tuesday fishing both lakes for 6 hours with a pheasant tail nymph and a hopper. Well done John, a personal best.
Also well done to Adam Collinson and Shaun Ramshaw from Stanhope who managed to return well over 30 fish between them ,fishing the Great Lough from a boat on Saturday.
All fish appear to be in good condition and are putting up some spirited resistance.
