With wind from all directions this week including some periods of calm, fishing has been quite varied and many different techniques and fly patterns have been employed. Visitors have all enjoyed some great sport.
A visiting team of four rods from Liverpool caught 56 fish over the week-end, including one rainbow that was weighed in at 6lb.
Other visitors included a team of Craig Wilson and 10 work colleagues who recorded a catch of 21 fish on Sunday. Mainly on Black Buzzers.
Over the week we were visited by 55 rods, catching 151 rainbow, 5 blue and 1 brown trout. 55 fish were taken and 102 retuned to the water.
Successful fly patterns included: Hare’s Ear, Soldier Palmer, Whickham’s Fancy, Emergers, Buzzers, Hoppers, Daddies, Sedges and Nymphs.
